The Water Resources Management Authority of Africa (WRMAA) operates under a continental mandate to regulate, certify, and enforce compliance in the development of large-scale dam infrastructure, hydropower facilities, irrigation systems, and strategic water resource projects across African member states. Acting as a recognized intergovernmental authority, WRMAA exercises oversight on behalf of participating national ministries, coordinating technical governance, issuing compliance directives, and granting official certification under its regulatory jurisdiction.
